Hello there!

It’s nice to meet you! My name is Andrea Ko, and I’m pursuing an MS in UX research at the University of Texas at Austin.

I believe that the user experience is all about equity, and my goal as a user researcher is to improve accessibility in new and emerging technologies to help change the world for the better. My job is to give users and stakeholders a voice in the product design process, putting their needs and wants at the forefront from inception to completion.

My undergraduate background (University of Oklahoma) is in psychology and journalism, and I performed academic research in social psychology at the undergraduate level. I discovered the field of UX during a research stint at the Singapore University of Technology and Design where I helped to optimize and user test a tablet application designed as an intervention method for senior citizens with Alzhemier’s and dementia. I realized that my calling was in UX research, and have pursued it ever since.

In my free time I enjoy brushing up on old skills (HTML/CSS/JS, SQL, Python), as well as working towards learning new tools to add to my skillset (check out my newfound Tableau skills here!)

Feel free to reach out through my LinkedIn or email. I look forward to connecting!
